2026 Lake Martin LOCAL Songwriters Festival APPLICATION!

PLEASE NOTE: Local artists must live within 50 miles of 125 N Broadnax Street, Dadeville, Alabama 36853

The multi-day songwriter’s festival features 30 artists at multiple venues ranging from intimate listening rooms to spacious outdoor stages all around Alabama’s Treasured Lake, Lake Martin. Apply to be a part of this sixth annual event that includes established touring artists as well as those that are up and coming. Music from all genres is welcome! This application allows us to collect information on local artists that may be interested in being a part of this year's LMSF Local Stage.

• Songwriters who are established in the industry or are currently making their mark
• Songwriters that have a significant presence on social media, Facebook, Spotify, Instagram and/or a dedicated website
• Songwriters who are 18 years of age or older

• Talent fee paid: Based on experience
• Publicity: Artists will be highlighted on social media, television, and radio
• Songwriters are welcome to sell merchandise, and promote themselves during their set and up to one hour before and after their set

• July 22, 2026 will consist of VIP night that is invitation only to festival supporters
• July 23-26, 2026 is the length of the Lake Martin Songwriters Festival event
• There will be artists from all over the country performing at multiple venues throughout the Lake Martin area
• Writer’s round type stage setups
• Each artist would have a total of 40 minutes (total includes setup). You will need to have enough original material to perform at least 4 songs.  
• Sound system to include mics are included at venue.

We do not hire songwriters through bookers or management companies. If you are obligated to a management company, we encourage you to pay them their booking fees but understand we will communicate directly with the songwriter. No fee is required to apply.  Artists for the 2026 festival will be selected by number of votes from the Lake Martin Songwriters Festival Board.  

• Applications are due by February 20, 2026
• Artists that are part of the festival's locals stage cannot perform within 50 miles of 125 N Broadnax Street, Dadeville, Alabama 36853 from July 10, 2026 to the final day of event.
• Verification of the receipt of the application will be returned via email
• All applicants will receive a response from via email by February 27, 2026 
• Due to high volume, please do not inquire about the status of your application
