Lake Martin Songwriters Festival APPLICATION!

The multi-day songwriter’s festival features over 30 artists at multiple venues ranging from intimate listening rooms to spacious outdoor stages all around Alabama’s Treasured Lake, Lake Martin. Apply to be a part of this third annual event that includes established touring artists as well as those that are up and coming. Music from all genres is welcome! This application allows us to collect information on the artists that may be interested in being a part of this festival.

• Songwriters who are making a significant portion or all of their income in the music industry. 
• Songwriters who are established in the industry or are currently making their mark.
• Songwriters that have a significant presence on social media, Facebook, Spotify,    Instagram and a dedicated website.
• Songwriters who are 18 years of age or older.

• Lodging: Artists will have the opportunity to be hosted right on beautiful Lake Martin
• Meals: Two meals and refreshments provided each day of performances.
• Talent fee paid: Based on experience.
• Publicity: Artists will be highlighted on social media, television, and radio
• Songwriters are welcome to sell merchandise, and promote themselves during their set and up to one hour before and after their set
• Opportunities to take part in the activities available around the area

• July 23, 2025, will consist of VIP night that is invitation only to festival supporters. You are welcome to be a part of and would love to have you. 
• July 24-27, 2025, will consist of both day and night sets at multiple venues TBD. We would      like each artist to perform at least 3 sets during their stay. We will do all we can to make those 3 sets on three consecutive days. 
• Writer’s round type stage setups
• Total set time is dependent on number of artists in round, time and location. Typically      each artist would have a total of 40 minutes. 
• Sound system to include mics are included at each venue.

We do not hire songwriters through bookers or management companies. If you are obligated to a management company, we encourage you to pay them their booking fees but understand we will communicate directly with the songwriter. No fee is required to apply.  Artists for the 2025 festival will be selected by number of votes from the Lake Martin Songwriters Festival Board.  Applications are due by February 14, 2025.  Artists that are part of the festival cannot perform within 100 miles of Dadeville, Alabama between May 1, 2025, and the final day of the festival.  

• Verification of the receipt of the application will be returned via email.
• All applicants will receive a response from via email by May 1, 2025 if not before. 
• Due to high volume, please do not inquire about the status of your application before      that date.
